The process of creating is very sacred and comes with prerequisites. For example, we were only allowed to participate in the preparation if we were fasting. This is how the Hapé is made with the right energy.
1. The Base: Mapacho
The process begins with the Mapacho plant, a specific variety of tobacco that serves as the main ingredient in many Hapé blends. The Mapacho is harvested, dried, and processed with great care. Its energetic purity is preserved throughout to support the desired effect.
2. Main Process
The Mapacho is ground into a very fine powder through an elaborate process. This powder is then sifted again to achieve an extremely fine consistency. This entire procedure is accompanied by prayers or chants to enhance its spiritual quality. This ensures that the Hapé is not only physically pure but also energetically pure and powerful.
3. Sacred Plants
Finely ground components of healing plants and tree barks are added to the Mapacho base. These variations give each Hapé blend its individual properties. Here are a few examples:
